The Full Strawberry Moon

The Full Strawberry Moon

As life has become more routine I am getting back into doing my hippie/wiccan things. Just last week my boyfriend and I had a reiki/relax night. I did reiki on both of us and then we took turns massaging each other with reiki music playing, crystals and candles everywhere…it was lovely and much needed! Tonight is the Full Strawberry moon and I am going overboard with this one.

Here is what the night will consist of:

  • Making moon water with clear quartz
  • Charging crystals (per standard)
  • A moon journal (detailing what goals I have for the entire moon cycle) including a spell for each moon phase going forward until the next full moon
  • A list of items to banish
  • A prayer
  • A letter to the universe asking it to help me manifest my goals

I am very lucky to have a partner that not only tolerates my moon rituals but also participates.

I have not been glowing love and light lately and have allowed a lot of things from both our pasts negatively impact my mood. It has consumed me and torn me apart and I need to refocus my energy on LOA and our present and our future together.

When you have been hurt, its easy to put walls up. Or in the words of Julia Michaels “got hands like an ocean, push you out pull you back in.” It’s not an intentional behavior to put walls up and try to guard myself but it happens from time to time and I need to release that blockage. I am going to end here because I have a LOT of hand written work to do for tonight. I hope this moon brings you all that you hope for and manifest.

Blessed be!

The Next Full Moon: Strawberry

The Next Full Moon: Strawberry

Good morning beautiful people! I hope the flower moon treated you well. It certainly did me! I have a full basket of charged crystals and exciting things going on in my personal life. My boyfriend and I have decided to take our relationship to the next level and move in together, so the burrow is no longer single girl status with two cats 😉 It was a fun run but it’s so nice having him there. I just love waking up to that beautiful face ❤

I wanted to take this time to write about our next full moon because it is one of my favorites! The Strawberry Moon will grace us with her presence on June 9th and it will be in Sagittarius. What does that mean for you? This is a time to reveal your fiery truth and fresh awareness. This moon is a good time to focus on working on personal growth, specifically any areas of improvement or that you haven’t been consistent with. Coming hot off the heels of retrograde I am sure there is plenty we can all find to work on internally. The strawberry moon also indicates summer is here and we will be basking in warmth and sunshine, and enjoying longer days. Because of this, you should ask for increased energy.

Colors for the strawberry moon are orange or a golden green. This moon also represents lovers so your altar candles should be orange and pink during this phase. Your stones to focus on are topaz, agate, alexandrite,  and fluorite. Your flower is lily of the valley (doesn’t get much more summery than that!) ❤

Some witches during the Strawberry moon will crush frozen strawberries with a pestle and anoint a white candle with it before beginning their moon ritual. Whatever you choose to do I hope it manifests in every way possible! Blessed be ❤

The Full Pink Moon in Libra

The Full Pink Moon in Libra

Ok let me just say between the full moon and FOUR planets in retrograde I am not myself. At all. I have been fighting some sort of virus since Friday, I feel like curling up and dying, but although we are in retrograde, the show must go on! I started to feel sick last week and been pretty swamped still with Real Estate school and work, so I am sorry I didn’t get to my Comfrey or tarot post…its coming! Remember I am also working on the non-profit,Warrior’s for Women (check out the site, its still under maintenance but I am working on the back end!).

Today though I simply cannot ignore writing about my FAVORITE full moon of the year! The full pink moon in Libra! Hello, my favorite color is pink, I’m a Libra and love full moon magick! But what IS the full pink moon?

The full pink moon represents the appearance of spring and transformation. ALL new moons are a period of transformation, but to me this one represents the most beautiful. The dark and cold of winter has blown away and we are ready to blossom. With the full moon being in Libra, this is a good time to focus on the balance in your life. Have you been working too hard and playing too little? Whatever it is your intention going forward should represent your transformation into being a more balanced, and therefore whole individual.

I would love to get into how to handle this crazy retrograde period but i will save that for another day when I myself am more informed. Let’s get through one crazy thing at a time. BLESSED BE! ❤

Magickal March

Magickal March

Good morning beauties! Welcome to March! There is a lot going on this month in the magickal world.

March 12th – Full  Crow Moon

This moon symbolizes the end of winter. It will be in Virgo and most visible on the 12th. With a full moon in Virgo its a good time to cleanse and recharge. This would be the time to do even little tasks like cleaning out the pantry or your closet. DEFINITELY recharge crystals during this moon. During the recent new moon I made a “New Moon Bath Jar” (Ingredients will follows). The jar should be opened during this full moon and bathed in for a full moon bath ritual.

  • Mason jar
  • Palo santo stick (burned inside of jar for cleansing)
  • Pink Himalayan Sea Salt (protection and healing)
  • Sea Salt
  • Red Sandalwood (prosperity and luck)
  • Lavender, Rose, Marigold, and Blue Cornflower petals
  • Lavender, Geranium, and Patchouli Essential Oils. Lavender for relaxation, Geranium for beauty, and Patchouli for prosperity.
  • Tumbled with Rose quartz for love
  • A lavender tea light added to the jar to be lit at full moon bath time

March 20th – Ostara/Spring Equinox

For those who are unfamiliar with this holiday, it is very similar to Easter. Ostara and the Christian Easter celebration both get their names from the  goddess, Eostre. Legend has it that while entertaining a group of children, she once turned a bird into a rabbit. To the amusement of the children, the animal laid colored eggs. Both Easter and Ostara symbolize re-birth and fertility.

Pagan activities during Ostara usually include something with nature as always. I intend to start planting my herb garden weather permitting. Dying of eggs is also a tradition during Ostara just as it is with Easter. Easter and Ostara are not one and the same though. Easter falls on April 16th this  year and although they have similar backgrounds, they are not the same. I celebrate both Ostara and Easter. This is a personal preference. Some light a bonfire at dawn to thank the earth for the new light that comes with Spring Equinox. Another more risque activity that was once deemed completely acceptable was finding a field of wild flowers to make love in. This was to thank the Goddess for fertility and love.

Incense: jasmine, frankincense, myrrh, dragon’s blood, cinnamon, nutmeg, aloes wood, benzoin, musk, African violet, sage, strawberry, lotus, violet flowers, orange peel, or rose petals.

Gemstone: agate, amazonite, amethyst, aquamarine, bloodstone, clear quartz crystal, garnet, lapis lazuli, moonstone, red jasper and rose quartz.

Spellwork for Ostara: Spellwork for improving communication and group interaction are recommended, as well as fertility, balance and abundance

Animals and Mythical Beasts: rabbits, snakes, unicorns, merpeople, and pegasus

Candle Colors: Yellow and Green.

March 28th – New Moon

New moons can be used to make your intention jar as mentioned above. It’s always a good idea to meditate and focus on what you want to complete this moon cycle. Write your intentions down and set them on your alter. Write down what you want to banish and burn it. I also like to take this time to Sage the house.

March also happens to be my brother’s birthday month and according to the psychic when he crossed over to Heaven so I will be having a celebration for him.

I hope that March brings you many blessed days and happy nights. Blessed be!

The Full Snow Moon, Lunar Eclipse and What it Means for You.

The Full Snow Moon, Lunar Eclipse and What it Means for You.

Happy Full Moon Friday! This segment will dive further into the importance of tonight’s moon position and what it will do for you going forward.

Many people casually check their horoscopes and make jokes about the full moon but whether you’re an avid follower of astrology or a random daily horoscope checker, the heavens are doing their work all the time and tonight it will be nothing short of spectacular.

Generally the exact position of the moon is not crucial in full moon ceremonies or acknowledgements, but this is an exception. This month there will be an occurrence of 2 master numbers in numerology tied to the Snow Moon. These numbers are 11 and 22. 11 is tied strongly with twin flames. It is believed when when an 11 appears (this includes 11:11) its a sign our twin flame will be coming into our lives. 22 is tied with intimate relationships and considered to be a master builder in numerology. 11 brings the opportunities and possibilities  where 22 makes it come true.

During this time our Sun will be in strong and independent Aquarius and the Moon will be positioned in Strong and Fiery Leo.

What do these numbers and signs mean for you? Leo is passionate and focused on your heart’s center and master numbers 11 and 22 bring forth possible twin flame opportunities. The heavens are literally perfectly aligned for you to find peace, comfort, and love which may have been unraveling the last 6 months.

Spend this full moon putting your new plans and hopes into action. Use this moment for passive reflection. What has been happening the last 6 months in your life and what do you WANT to happen the next 6 months?

Friday and Saturday allow your eyes (and third eye) to open completely. Take a moonlit walk and breathe in the Full Moon air. Set your intention going forward and pay attention to shifts in your daily routine. Things are happening for you. Just because there is a strong emphasis on relationships and love, this is also an important time to focus on ALL relationships including friendships, with yourself, and careers.

Now, if you are not a firm believe in astrology and moon ceremonies, you can leave it at that, setting an intention for yourself and opening your heart to awareness. IF you are like me and like to give the universe a little push in your favor, here are some Full Moon ritual ideas that you can put into practice.

  1. Cleanse your sacred space with sage and opening prayer. Burn incense for full effect. Invite your spiritual guides to attend the ceremony at your side.
  2. Light your altar candles and meditate for a moment, breathing in the night air (open a window if you are inside).
  3. Write down on different slips of paper or bay leaves what you want to purge from your life. This may be a habit, a toxic relationship, an attitude, etc. Burn the slip of paper or leaf and say “be gone” and extinguish in a dish.
  4. Thank the spirits
  5. Put out your flames (never blow out, always snuff candles).

After you have purged the negatives, you can do a separate similar ceremony to ask for guidance and set your intention. The best color candles to use are White Altar candles in general, but you can use any color that corresponds with what your intention is (see the candles tab under menu if you are unsure.)

whatever you do, use this time for reflection, growth, and awareness. The universe is on your side! Blessed be.
